lakeside evenings at pfäffikersee

say hi to the duckies

have you ever seen a lake in such a magical teal that you legitimately wonder if someone dropped a giant jug of paint into the lake? i invite you to see and dream for yourself at pfäffikersee, a serene little lake by the zurich suburbs, a 10 minute walk away from pfäffikon zh station.

some days pass by and i ask myself how do we slow down the world? to make moments last a little. the both of us come back from work, it is 7 pm, but somehow we have found ways to make moments truly memorable. one hot summer evening, we made a pasta dinner in ten minutes, grabbed a bottle of sparkling wine and walked down the historic town to sit down, have a picnic by the piers of pfäffikersee. the sun was low, the water calm, the sunrays long and the only chaos and drama are brought by some ducks and ducklings we call taubenraucher - the pigeon smokers.

the water reflecting our soul.
